Snuggle Time

IMG_0496.JPGThis poem is dedicated to The Kids and their “new” couch.

“It’s snuggle time again!”
this Thrift Shop relic screams to me.
Cast away that love seat
and come recline on me.
Snuggle ever closer as I
lightly squeeze your knee.

For too long we’ve been apart
in our loving living room
Not allowed to tete-a-tete
on that cramped little couch.

And so I rush with happy heart
to buy this flowered covered piece
And whisk it home for you to be
ever close to me.
