Squashed Pancakes

Squash pancake. That dark spot is just a shadow -- honest!

Squash pancake. That dark spot is just a shadow — honest!

Sour milk, flour and sliced squash

all together mixed

Sugar and cinnamon added for flavor

Something’s missing

but who knows what?

Gooey consistency’s

just too much

Left over cornflakes

that’s the kicker

Looks pretty good

needs to be thicker

Add more flour

cinnamon too

Needs an egg

for protein goo.

Into the pan

and wait to see

Surprisingly good with syrup

as anything would be!

Uh. Please tell me you didn’t eat that. At least, not as seen in the picture. It looks a little raw still.

I used to make my own pancake batter for my son and added all kinds of ingredients to it. You’d be surprised what you can add to pancakes with a little extra spice and sugar. It’s the same principle as adding cheese to vegetables. Of course the fact that Dad fed my son egg fu yung for breakfast didn’t hurt either! 🙂
