Rejects? So What.

I thought it was time to share more of my “rejects” with you.

Grape Stomp (One of the poems I submitted to The Judds Hill Wine website).

Shoeless sticky feet stomp inside vats

Squishing grapes of multi colors

Between water and dyed toes

Sometimes the sound deafens

Others – not so much

For child at heart

And the bored

It’s fun…

Deja Vu  (A 91 word memoir that was submitted to one of Gotham’s many writing contests).

Memories flood my mind — Bernie escorting Mom to and from the beauty shop; up the front stairs into our house; to get ice cream — as we walk into the retinologist’s office for my monthly eye shot.  Two years have passed since I started this terrifying journey and it’s more difficult each visit.  I wonder if this will keep the vision loss at bay long enough for me to volunteer for stem cell therapy eye trials.  I summon my courage as we pass through the sliding door…

So my blogging friends, what is the point of this post?  Be brave.  Don’t give up on your dreams.  What’s a little rejection along the road to our success?  Onward!
