Smart Phones — Too Smart For Moi’

My new phone looks similar to this, but has GPS, bluetooth enabled and all that fancy stuff that'll strain my eyes ... and my pocketbook!

Yesterday my cell phone almost died and when I plugged in the charger it wouldn’t recharge.  Lucky for me I’d bought a Sunday paper and searched the sales’ adds looking for a replacement cell phone.  Who would have known there’s sooo many smart phones out there!

Finally I found the Family Dollar sales add and — lucky for me — they had a sale on cell phones.  I found one for $15 that looked very similar to my old one; so off to Family Dollar I went.  My phone is fancier than this one:  blue tooth enabled, GPS, etc and I’ll have to be very careful because I’m using the daily (El Cheapo) plan and could run out of minutes real quick just trying to learn how to use it.  The phone even came with $10 worth of air time and believe me I called Verizon just as soon as my wonderful daughter-in-law transferred over my old number and loaded all my contacts.  Then I started playing with the phone, and that’s when I learned that even though this isn’t considered a “smart” phone it’s still pretty smart to me!  Onward…

One Response to Smart Phones — Too Smart For Moi’

  1. A few months ago I went from my flip dinosaur phone to an IPhone 4, actually I bought it free when the 5’s came out. I wasn’t going to spend $200 on a phone. Anyway, I had to pay taxes and an upgrade fee, but $65 is better than the alternative. And I have to admit that I really love it. It’s nice to have internet or email access sometimes, but I’m not addicted (hopefully won’t be). I also love the camera quality, so enjoy! Oh, if they were so smart, they’d prepare dinner, too! 🙂
