More Haikus

Yesterday was rabies shot day.  Vets around the county set up shot locations where you could come and bring your pets for their yearly rabies’ shots.  I was lucky because the vet stopped by my “homestead” and distributed shots to my Sammo and the rest of the “critters” which inspired these haikus.

Vet comes here today

Bringing his needles/vaccine

To ward off rabies.

Pets:  composed of love

and work and aggravation

like all relationships

Cats entwine my feet

Because they think I’ll feed them

Then they’ll never leave!

I like the one about cats!

  2. Loved them all, Sandra, and this made me think of my new (big) puppy, Copper! He’s added so much joy to our family, since losing Lucky Girl and my Mom~

I can relate. My Sammo entered my life when he climbed into my car after my son and I had to find another place to live because Mom’s property had to be sold due to the “nursing home spend down” requirements. I’ve still got him, and he’s getting old just like me, but he shows it more! 🙂
