Moi’ logged onto Facebook and checked out the status of the $3.00 Mini Screenwriting Contest, and the winners will be announced tomorrow (February 15th)! I’ve been checking regularly because I needed the motivation to keep me writing when I was feeling so despondent about Life and my dang eyes.
I want to return to St. Louis in April, but am obsessing about driving there alone. My depth perception is slowly changing which just increases my fear. It’s just little things like when I caught myself in the door frame and today when I hit my glasses with the door while closing it. Luckily I didn’t hurt the door or my glasses, but was surprised because I really hadn’t realized I was so close to that dang door.
People keep sneaking up on me now because I don’t see them. It’s a good thing I have a strong heart! Meanwhile I have all this annoying stuff for writing incentive. Keep your fingers crossed that I get an email tomorrow saying I won and remember to WRITE ON!
Wishing you all the best, Sandra!
Thanks Susan. I almost visited your neck of the woods February 7, but changed my mind when I remembered that what I wanted to attend started at 7pm, and I have enough difficulty driving around Dothan at night. Since that time I have lined up a driver; so I just may be up that way on March 6.
Let me know! Maybe we can meet somewhere.
Sounds good. I’ll keep you posted. Sandra
Hoping you win, but regardless – keep on writing!
Thanks Bongo. Sometimes I wish I had other fodder to write about besides my eyes, and then I think about that 1 person I may be helping and I “get back to work”.
Keeping my fingers crossed. But even if they fail to make the right decision, remember that you are a talented writer with a brilliant and creativ mind. Keep writing-even if you have to someday get that dragon, naturally speaking software. The important thing is never quit. The world must hear YOUR voice!
Aaaw Jim, you’re so sweet! Thanks for the pep talk.
