Together

We find our together time

in the oddest places

I vacuum

while you dust

You wash the dishes

and I dry

We both fold clothes

And then dance…

This is such a lovely poem. Simple, yet stylish and elegant. Sandy, your writing gets better every day!

love the style of this poem I tried to make the words on my blog bigger hope it worked

Thanks DJ for enlarging your wise words to make it easier for me to read and I’m so glad you like my poem. If more people thought of how to create quality together time (for their kids too) this world would be a much better place.

  3. I love this poem, Sandra, it conveys not the importance of what people do together, but just being together is what matters most! Love it and can truly relate! 🙂

Thanks Lauren. My son and I spent many quality hours doing chores together. It helped him grow up to be a better(and more secure) man. Too many women practically kill themselves working full time and “playing” housewife when both spouses could cut the workload in half if they’d just DO IT!

      • That’s great and it’s good to teach the kids to pitch in…my husband and I worked together also in doing chores when I worked full-time years ago and that’s how couples should do it, in my opinion. It’s not up to either one to clean the house, since everyone lives in it! Unless someone is a stay at home mom or dad, then that would be a little different..
