Rosencrantz & Gildenstern Leave Me Alone

When I was young I had a built-in alarm clock that worked pretty well.  I could just decide when I wanted to awake, and most of the time I would do it.  I was grateful for this super power, but that was then…

Now I have this bad habit of just thinking about watching something on tv and I awaken.  It doesn’t matter if the program comes on at 1:30 am or 3:25 am my built-in clock decides to wake me.  A case in point is the movie Rosencrantz and Gildenstern Are Undead which was shown twice this morning on the Movie Channel.  I want to watch this movie, but never seem to be able to catch it at a good time.  I usually discover it after it has already started, or change my mind about getting up (like I did this morning) to watch it.

Being a script writer means that you should watch all kinds of movies to help have a better understanding of how writing scripts works.  Viewing good and bad movies has helped improve my script writing, and I know that someday all this sacrifice will pay off.  In the meantime, I wish my built-in clock would turn itself off when I change my mind about watching a movie at some ungodly hour!

Sounds like time to set the record button – or rent the DVD. Last time I heard though, Rosencrantz and Gildenstern were dead.

There seems to be two Rosencrantz & Gildenstern movies. One is “Rosencrantz & Gildenstern Are Dead” and the other one is “Rosencrantz & Gildenstern Are Undead” which deals with vampires. I discovered this today while talking with my son. Now I have two of these R&G movies to watch. (Sounds like some sort of cleaning supplies). Regards.

  2. Oh, this is funny, but I know, not to you, at some ungodly hour! 🙂

I don’t mind waking up at some ungodly hour if I can rechannel my thoughts and make good use of the time. The hard part is doing that when my mind dwells on the sadness and won’t let it go. I’ve been told I over think things too much which is great for my writing but murder for my “real life”. Now please tell me how to make “Smiley faces” so I can share. Thanks Ms. Wordsmith

      • I am also real good at analyzing and I do it too much in real life! I’m trying to slow that down a bit! Smiley faces…okay, colon and right parenthesis…let me know if you have trouble! 🙂

🙂 🙂 🙂 If this doesn’t work, we’ll both just have to pretend! Or maybe create some R&G Music!
