Tread Softly

Tread softly for my mind can’t adjust to these changes bombarding it.

Tread softly for my emotions are raw from the pain of Life’s roller coaster.

Tread softly for I no longer laugh and now cry uncontrollably.

Tread softly for I need your help,

But know not how to ask.

  1. Nice poem. I can feel the pain in it.

Oh thank you. When I wrote the poem I was still recovering from the emotional pain of being helpless in the wake of a friend’s dire situation. But fortunately that was last week…

From great struggle comes great art. Great poem. Meaningful and thoughful.

  3. I can also feel the pain as though it is completely tangible. Very nicely written and I, for one, can relate…
