Time Marches On… And I Must Too

Valentine’s Day came and went pretty uneventfully after I finished being hysterical.  My son’s birthday came and went and this time I wasn’t hysterical — I was plain  P.O.’d!

Thank heavens Opus Nostrum’s thespians (which I’m happy to relate includes me) finally have a new place to perform.  We’ll be performing at Headland’s High School.  Our director is finishing up the details and we are seriously practicing again.

I had no idea that the “no practicing” stretch would affect me so much.  I knew that I was smarting from my son’s departure even though it was inevitable, but not seeing him on Valentine’s Day and his birthday…

I better get used to this quick  because someday his girlfriend may be my daughter-in-law and if we can’t get along now; we’ll never get along then… PLUS I’ll never get to see him.

“Buck up ‘Mom'” and bite your tongue, and how’s your week coming?
