Debut Delayed, But Not Cancelled–structure-fire-in-headland-fully-involved-mutual-aid-requested-16238

Last night was supposed to be the big push before my stage debut on February 11, 2011.  Fate dealt an awful blow when a fire broke out at the Headland Theater and other nearby businesses.

The evening news showed vast destruction, but the rain was pouring so hard that it was difficult to see what was actually happening.

The 10:00 news spoke of an explosion and oxygen tanks being on site, which confused me and I’m sure the other news watchers.

Today, our director posted on his Facebook page that it will be at least a week until he can even get into the theater to view the damage — let alone clean up.

We are fortunate that no one was hurt… and that there doesn’t seem to be as much damage as was previously thought — at least not to the theater anyway.

The Lord does work in mysterious ways…

OH My Heavens Sandy, thankfully NO one was injured. I sincerely hope it was not too bad but from the looks of it from the video it pretty much looks a total loss. Keep me updated.
