Politics and the Law

I don’t normally get involved in politics, but I have been so disappointed for the last 2 years that I’ve devoted more time to reading about D.C. shenanigans.  Let me tell ya, I don’t like what I’m reading.

The 112th Congress got off to a grand start — with 3 Congressmen not attending the swearing-in ceremony.  I read 3 different internet articles about this — the first 2 mentioning the Republicans Pete Sessions (TX) and Mike Fitzpatrick (PA) and the last one mentioning Peter DeFazio, the OR Democrat who had stayed at home to speak with Veterans.

I don’t condone any of them because the Constitution is specific about such things.  What saddens me is that we just had an election and removed Democrats because WE didn’t like what they were doing.  These Democrats were replaced with Republicans, and this is how the new regime starts!

It angers and frustrates me to know that I’m expected to obey the law.  Is it too much to ask for these Washington Clowns to do the same?  To top this off, the 112th Congress read the Constitution today!  Isn’t that sweet?  I wonder if it was to REMIND these guys of their responsibility.

I tell ya the 2012 election can’t get here soon enough for me!
